MASK FABRIC on your Mac

Download the Mac app, or use all of FABRIC in your browser and add it to your Dock.

Download for Mac

Preview: the app is not yet signed by Apple. The first time, open the downloaded file, drag MASK FABRIC to Applications, then right-click it and choose Open.

Safari

  1. Open maskfabric.ai and select Open FABRIC.
  2. In the menu bar, choose File > Add to Dock.
  3. Select Add. FABRIC now has its own Dock icon and window.

Needs macOS Sonoma (14) or later. On older versions, use Chrome or Edge.

Chrome or Microsoft Edge

  1. Open maskfabric.ai and select Open FABRIC.
  2. Select the Install icon at the right of the address bar (a screen with a down arrow).
  3. Select Install. FABRIC opens in its own window and appears in Launchpad and the Dock.

Private AI on your Mac (optional)

FABRIC can use AI that runs entirely on your Mac, so your documents never leave it.

  1. Install the free Ollama for Mac and open it once.
  2. In Terminal, run ollama pull qwen2.5:3b (a free model, about 2 GB).
  3. In FABRIC, open the AI panel, select ⚙ (AI models) and choose the model.

Apple silicon Macs (M1 and later) with 8 GB of memory or more work best. You can also add a cloud AI such as Claude or ChatGPT in the same window.
