Privacy policy

Last updated 9 October 2026

I built MASK FABRIC so your work stays yours. This page explains, in plain words, what happens to your files and data when you use it.

The short version

Your files

Files you create or open in FABRIC are kept in your browser's storage on your device, or on your computer in the desktop app. Saved files are encrypted on your device before they are stored. You can delete them at any time from FABRIC or by clearing your browser data.

Google Drive and OneDrive

Connecting a drive is optional. When you connect one, you sign in directly with Google or Microsoft; I never see your password.

FABRIC's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

AI

AI that runs on your own computer (for example through Ollama) keeps everything on that computer. If you choose to connect a cloud AI service such as Claude, ChatGPT or Hugging Face, the text you send to it goes to that service under its own privacy policy, using your own account or key. FABRIC shows which AI is in use, and you can turn cloud AI off.

What reaches me

Children

FABRIC is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes and questions

If this policy changes, I will update this page and the date at the top. Questions or requests? Send me a message.
